A connected radiology workflow makes every handoff visible. This map shows the information, decisions and accountable systems involved from the first order to the final report.
1. Order and identity
The EHR or HIS creates the order. Tenant, facility, patient and placer order identifiers are validated before the request enters the imaging workflow.
2. Acquisition and availability
The modality worklist supports acquisition. Images are received, quality checks run and the study becomes available with the correct clinical context.
3. Orchestration and assignment
Priority, specialty, credentials, coverage, workload and turnaround targets determine the eligible reading path. Exceptions become visible tasks.
4. Review and reporting
The radiologist opens the study with relevant priors, completes diagnostic review and signs the report in the connected reporting workflow.
5. Distribution and closure
The final result returns to the source system and authorized recipients. Delivery, acknowledgement, critical communication and audit events complete the trace.
